Ornaments

Hi Everyone,

    One of the gifts I made this Christmas was ornaments using the Festive Flurry Stamp Set and Framelit Dies.  It's really hard to see the detail in the pictures, but I love how they turned out.  You need to use your Stamp-a-ma-jig for this project.  I first stamped in either Island Indigo or Pool Party then stamped directly over that with Versamark.   Then I applied Heat & Stick Powder on, melted it with the heating tool, sprinkled the Dazzling Diamond on and finally set the glitter with the heat tool again.  Hope you like them too!

Hi Everyone,

     Sorry I haven't been posting.  Like most of you I'm rushing around these last few days before Christmas trying to get everything done, wrapped and baked!  I love making and sending my Christmas cards out and I really love looking through the Christmas cards we receive back.  I wanted to share with you the cards some of my friends/customers sent to me.  How special it is to get a homemade card in the mail!

Gift Card Holder

Hi Everyone,

    I just love the Envelope Liners from the Holiday Catalog.  They can dress up an envelope so quickly and just add a custom touch.  I got this idea to make gift card holders from them from another demonstrator's blog:  Patty's Stamping Spot.  I believe she used the middle sized liner for hers, but I decided to try it with the smallest one.

Merry Christmas

Hi Everyone,

   I'm sure you are all getting busier just like I am the closer it gets to Christmas.  I just wanted to start posting the projects we made last Friday night for those who couldn't make it.  I love the look of the white on white on this card and the silver just makes it more elegant.  I think this card was the favorite one of the evening.  For the snowflakes, we stamped in versamark, then sprinkled heat and stick powder on and heated with the embossing tool.  After you heat it, you sprinkle the silver glitter on and then heat set that as well.  I think the card would look just as nice with the gold glitter and foil paper as well.

Santa's List

Tags 4 You Thanksgiving Favors

    As anyone that has come to any of my classes knows, I am really loving the Crumb Cake color lately.  It just seems to match almost any other color I want to work with.  I used the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder for the first time with this card and absolutely love it!  Hope you enjoy this card too.

Hi Everyone,

     To be perfectly honest I have a love/hate relationship with the Expressions Thinlets in the Holiday Catalog.  I really love the projects I've made and seen with them, but working with them can be tough.  My thankful thinlet gives me the most trouble, so I turned to the Merry for this card.  Using a layer of wax paper can help get the letters out easier, but I have found I have trouble getting the thinlets to cut all the way through.  Anyway when all is said and done, I am glad I bought them and intend on using them more.

Hi Everyone,

     For those of you counting... This is my 100th post!  I know my posts aren't that wordy usually, but I do hope if you ever have questions on any of my projects, you know you can contact me by phone, email or by leaving a comment right on the post.

Truly Grateful

Hi Everyone,

After spending the last 2 days working on my Christmas cards, I decided to go back to the Truly Grateful set to make this card.  The ribbon is the 7/8" Cotton Ribbon that is stampable.  I've tried stamping on other ribbons only to have the ink bleed, but with this one I had no problems.

     Taylor wanted to learn how to use the new Label Card Thinlets, so we decided to make another birthday card and actually ended up using the same color scheme as the card I posted yesterday.  She used the chevron embossing folder on hers, but I decided I liked the argyle one better for this card.

Evergreen

Thoughts & Prayers

Hi Everyone,

I needed to make a sympathy card for a friend last week and decided to use some fall colors for it.  I used our fantastic markers for the stamp so I could get the 2 colors on it.  I really really love our markers and use them often, even when I'm not working on cards.  They flow so smoothly for writing.  As a reminder, Stampin' Up is offering the newer colors in single markers so you don't have to get a full set if you are just missing the new colors.  This will only last until October 31st.
